Happy Second Birthday Isabel Elizabeth!

From this...

To this...

To this....Isabel you have forever changed our lives and our hearts. We love you more than we can express. It has been such a joy to watch you grow these past two years and we have delighted in watching your personality blossom...we so look forward to the future with you, Baby Girl!

Our baby is 2!! Abbie, Izzie and I went to Chuck E Cheese's to celebrate this morning...they've been asking to try it, so I mustered my Mommy courage and decided to take them. It wasn't as bad as I thought...but after about 90 minutes we couldn't really take anymore (i.e. we had ridden every ride at least twice!!) and decided to go home for lunch. They were totally thrilled by the experience and even got to high five Chuck E Cheese himself...

Here is Isabel wearing her birthday duds - her absolute favorite color lately is yellow - she loves to tell people "Izzie loves lellow" - so we had to wear yellow today!

We went to the Air and Water show in the city at the North Ave beach on Saturday to celebrate her birthday and my brother and Dad joined us - the show was awesome! 2.5 million spectators and some awesome airplane tricks! I told Isabel we invited a few extra people to her party....:-)

Uncle Dan and Isabel enjoying the beach

The birthday girl on the way home from the beach! She got to eat as many Sunchips as she wanted, being that we were celebrating her birthday! Notice the chips on her shoulder where she dropped them after falling asleep while eating them!

Sisterly love and matching socks....

Crazy girls - at least they appear to love each other too..:-)

We're still here!

We are back from a whirlwind three weeks away from home. Mama and Daddy went to CA for 4 days and the girls stayed (for the first time!) by themselves with Grandma and Grandpa! Fun was had by ALL!! Then we visited some cabins in MN, Nana, lots of other relatives and attended a class reunion and wedding. We came home and started soccer (for Abbie - SO much excitement there!) and preparations for Isabel Elizabeth's big 2nd birthday on Monday! Also, baby girl #3 is due to arrive in less than 8 weeks...!! So we've begun preparing...yes, I've been nesting already ! We're getting so excited now! We fended off a wasp invastion (Mama and Daddy sustained slight wounds from that one!) and have finally gotten our lives somewhat more settled after all the summer travel excitement.

Hope you all have been enjoying the summer! More soon...
