She Rolls!

I'm a rolling MACHINE!! Yay Emelia! In true 'Emelia fashion' she has been acting like she will roll for awhile now...sticking her booty up in the air and ALMOST tipping...but then just deciding she's too content where she is and not doing it. Then, all of a sudden, as we were all snuggling in the big bed this morning and she just rolls over! Like she knew all along how to do it, just waiting until she was good and ready...this is how she has been since her labor started. She seems to bide her time and then when she's ready she does it full-force! She is SO proud of herself - didn't even want to take time to nap this morning because she was too busy rolling in her crib and I'd have to help her get back to her tummy (she can't quite roll back to front yet, just front to back).
We love getting to know you, our Little Emelia! Can't wait for each new day with you...

'Meels also likes to blow bubbles - even if she has a mouthful of milk! Which makes nursing interesting sometimes...:-)

If it's chilly in the house, never fear! Sisters are always ready with a hat for Baby, even if it's a tad bit too small. We still have the mohawk hair underneath though...it just springs right up after bath and stays that way...

Something isn't right here....can anyone tell?? Abbie and Izzie are wearing JEANS!! I forgot what that looked like. After insisting on dresses/skirts and tights for months, the jeans are for the special occasion of PLAYING OUTSIDE! It has been nice weather and we've been outside lots. After stain-cleaning way too many tights I've decided jeans are the costume of choice for the mud and muck of spring, which mysteriously finds its way all over little girls :-) So, since they love playing outside, they have made the large sacrifice of wearing jeans lately...rough, I know.

And here is how we spend the time when we are NOT getting the wiggles out outside. My grand experiment to see how long this couch will last is still running...I'm rather impressed. Haven't had to use the duct tape yet :-)

Daddy had a birthday! Here he is realizing we used trick candles on his 'special' cake...although, he really IS full of hot air because he managed to get a few of them out! And there is a straw jammed through the middle of that cake so he didn't blow it over...
I hope he ate enough of that cake to put some meat on his bones b/c we are off to the beach next week and it hasn't been very warm in Florida. I claim holding the baby...so it looks like Daddy will be in that pool, even if it is 60 degrees :-) Maybe if there is some wine involved I'll take pity and go every other time...
