She Rides

Silly Izzie

Something in that fishbowl, Emelia?! She sits up!! And is crawling FORWARD, however slowly and deliberately!

Movie night with the neighbors! Their baby and our baby were missing - it's quite the crew when all are awake and present! We've discovered we can babysit for each other this way - the kids hardly know we are gone :-)

Abbie rides without training wheels!! She just kinda did it...her friend held the back for awhile but then she just took off. Now she REALLY gives me a workout when I load the younger two in the jogger and try to keep up!

The brakes went out on our faithful, powder-blue Oldsmobile so we donated it and picked up this used two-door Yaris. "Yari" is a welcome addition to the family and yes - we DO fit all three car seats in the back and tool around...it's awesome!

Ahh - to be the third child..Emelia enjoys a nap at the park on a Sunday afternoon.

Riverwalk

Driving Yari around means no stroller (it doesn't fit!) so we've been doing lots of babywearing

Hi guys.

Blue Boat Home

Though below me, I feel no motion
Standing on these mountains and plains
Far away from the rolling ocean
Still my dry land heart can say
I've been sailing all my life now
Never harbor or port have I known
The wide universe is the ocean I travel
And the earth is my blue boat home

Sun, my sail, and moon my rudder
As I ply the starry sea
Leaning over the edge in wonder
Casting questions into the deep
Drifting here with my ship's companions
All we kindred pilgrim souls
Making our way by the lights of the heavens
In our beautiful blue boat home

I give thanks to the waves upholding me
Hail the great winds urging me on
Greet the infinite sea before me
Sing the sky my sailor's song
I was born upon the fathoms
Never harbor or port have I known
The wide universe is the ocean I travel
And the earth is my blue boat home

Reba's visit!

My childhood friend, Reba, came for a short but sweet visit recently and we had a blast :-) She handled all the girls fantastically - which is great because she is expecting her own little girl at the end of June!

Hopping from rock-to-rock in the tadpole pond...Reba navigated the rocks like a nimble-footed pro, baby and all...soon after this Izzie took a dip and then proceeded to strip.

Ah...to indulge the climbing hobby...

A reflection of Reba and I: I am carrying Emelia in a wrap and Reba is carrying Baby Girl in her belly...thought it was a neat image. Oh, and Abbie is sitting on top of the silver ball!

Three sisters: peaceful for the moment :-)

...and Abbie took this picture of Daddy: proud next to his newly-blossomed Iris
