How many photos can fit in a post? Let's find out...we've had lots of adventures lately so here's a portrayal in pictures :-) Hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season!
Anyone familiar with Dinosaur Train on PBS?! We went to the Field Museum to check out Sue, the T-Rex skeleton. As a bonus they also had a Pteranodon! Pteranodons are the main characters on Dino Train...okay...I digress!
Papa joined us on our little "Field" trip...
Emelia is over two months now - how time flies! She's been such a joy!

Little Sister has become a "Big" sister...I think Emelia already looks up to her :-)

Two silly girls! Alex and I have decided to bring the snow shovel in and just shovel the toys to one side of the room at night...good plan?

We spent Thanksgiving with our good friends the Gubbins family!! A lovely time was had by all - thank you Dear Gubbins!

Here is the whole Gubbins family - including Poppy/Tater tot in Mrs. Gubbins' tummy!

We also stopped at Robyn and Ben's on our 'Thanksgiving in MN' trip. Cousin Miles meets Emelia...he's only 21 months but he loved to hold "baby!"

Uncle Ben handles storytime

While Grandma handles the two youngest girls...she doesn't seem to mind, however!

Grandpa gets his turn...

Next we were on to Nana's house. Alex had a conference in Boston M-F so I stayed at Nana's with the girls and visited with some friends. Unfortunately Isabel developed an ear infection and Emelia had thrush...so the week was anything but peaceful! We so enjoyed seeing everyone, though, and Alex was grateful to be sleeping through the night...by himself....in Boston...
Uncle Mike meets Emelia and "wrassled" with the girls...they were on wrestling deficiency with Daddy being gone.
Reba jumped in to help the day she visited as my children ran wild and the baby was half dressed! good thing...she'll be putting that practice to good use soon! ;-)

Two fancy ladies just hangin' out at Nana's...this is what happens when you leave for work, Nana, we get all gussied up and go shopping in your closet.

We met up with Rachel and her little girl, Brooke, who is Izzie's age but somehow managed to keep HER clothes on for the entire playdate...unlike Isabel who seems to be missing her skirt...

Jen looks like a pro! You got her right to sleep!

Gigi and Great Papa meet Emelia...and have to wait their turn to hold her! Not that her sisters are possessive or anything...!

Right before we left to head home, we attended a gathering of my dear college girlfriends - great to see so many of us in one place!!

Upon our return home, we said goodbye to some new, but dear, friends of ours. Yet another set of good friends given up to Colorado! sigh...must be the mountains...or the camping...or the climate...or ...everything?!

We celebrated Christmas with Papa already and Beth graciously reads a story after brunch.

Uncle Dan helps Isabel golf into the croc's mouth - oh Iz! Is that a hole in one?!

Must be having a serious conversation here...Emelia is a good listener! She's not stingy with those baby smiles, either...;-)

Santa!!! Abbie was so into the Santa thing this year! It's super cute - she informed him she wants a nightgown. Santa commended her on her practicality and assured her that he would get right on that! Isabel refused to leave Daddy's arms for Santa's lap, but did request a yellow bathrobe. Those elves better get their sewing machines fired up...or they could probably just check Amazon...;-)

We went to the Zoo Lights at Lincoln Park Zoo - they were fantastic!! So many beautiful lights but somehow none in the picture!
Our purple baby! For Emelia's thrush, the pediatrician recommended using Gentian Violet - that dye that is used in gram staining... - VERY purple! It was a great mess - especially when she sneezed right after I put the GV in her mouth! Too funny...thankfully, the purple is gone now (as is the thrush!) ...we did get some funny looks though...

Look at those rolls! I looked at her the other day and couldn't believe how she had filled out!! She's getting all roly-poly! 13 pounds of roly-poly to be exact - I love it!
