Success!

Well, we're happy to report that the purchase/move was a success! Even if it was an adventure at times. We're now busy wading through boxes and basking in the glory of a shower that actually lets you adjust the temperature.... ah. Sadly our internet setup was canceled today (big surprise...) due to the neighborhood hub being overloaded. Which means no house pictures for a week or more until they get it fixed.

Hi everyone, just wanted to say a quick "hello" since I am jetting off to the beach in two days to dip my toes in the ocean. We'll catch up when we return. Hope you all are enjoying the spring weather!

A Personality All Their Own

Okay, I did lots of blogging at once tonight (see below) - can you tell Alex is working long hours trying to finish this PhD?! So, I have time not only to drink all the beer and eat all the nachos in the place by myself, but also to catch up on some blogging..,;-)

My favorite after-bath activity: Wrestling on the bed with Daddy. How could he resist?!

One of our new favorite games: going to work. She gets all suited up, puts her backpack on and gets on her bike. She then annouces she's "Going to work, give me kisses, and I'll be back soon!" She drives up and down the hall, then comes in and announces, "I'm home!" at which point I'm supposed to make a big fuss and ask how her day went. :-)

Okay...how to explain this picture?! We were packing for our upcoming trip to FL and Abbie found her swimsuit. She wore it for almost 24 hours straight before she decided being naked was better and stripped it off to go streaking through the apartment. At which point I stealthily hid it away...we compromised when we had to go out to run errands today - and this is how the compromise ended. I got her to wear a shirt and boots at least right? Amazing how stubborn a two year old can be ...and how utterly important this is to them! You would've thought the world had ended -really ended- when I suggested wearing clothes other than the swimsuit! Anyhow, as for the pose with the arms - where did she pick that up?!! She's a bit young for that...;-)

This is NOT Normal

Okay, so I've never understood those situations in which people walk by on the street and the kid is conked out in the stroller... in broad daylight. In the street, with noise, lights, excitement all around...until Isabel came along. She does that sometimes when it is her nap time and I get her all cozy in the stroller...Abbie - never. So since Abbie has quit napping (I still enforce a quiet time in the bed in the hopes that she will pick it up again and I won't go into details about how "quiet" she is during that "quiet time") she has been tired in the evenings ( early bedtime!) and this is what happened after playing in the park on the way home from our "baby jog" the other night. We couldn't believe our eyes. Well, they LOOK like angels, but believe me...you should've been a fly on the wall in the next instant when two hungry, tired babes awoke and weren't so happy about that...:-) I guess we should've kept running!

I think the secret is the plastic weather cover - you gotta get them really warm and cozy and they can't help but doze off...I mean, poor Isabel can't even move in that snowsuit! Nothing else to do but nap...

I Did This By Myself!

Hi guys. Look what I did all by myself! I'm sitting! I was wobbly at first and still clonk my head when I fall :-( But today I did this all by myself and was soooo enormously proud! Mama got all emotional and took pictures and made a big deal and proceeded to burn not one, but TWO batches of the pancakes that were for dinner...oh well, we have our priorities straight around here, that's for sure!

Miles Anton

Here he is folks! The new nephew! Robyn, Ben, Jonas and Miles...look at those big smiles!

New House and New Nephew

We have a new nephew!! Robyn and Ben had another baby boy, Miles Anton, who joins "big" brother Jonas! He was born on 2/29 at 9:09am - a leap day baby! He weighed in at 8lbs 3oz and both Mom and baby are doing well :-) Congratulations to everyone! We don't have pictures yet - but are eagerly awaiting them. Welcome Baby Miles!

Well, it's official! We move in at the end of the month! We're exited...here's a look at our new home!
