Well, everyday lately our baby girl seems to do something that makes us burst out laughing and I've captured a couple of pictures that I've been meaning to blog for two weeks now...somebody has figured out that the computer has buttons that are fun for pushing so while we are learning that buttons on Mama and Daddy's expensive computer are not for babies to push, it's hard to sneak time to blog :-)
Abbie practicing how the stork is going to bring Baby Brother or Baby Sister...apparently she believes babies now come with Palm Pilots? Did Daddy give her that idea? Is this supposed to be a hint to Mama? :-)
So I'm not entirely proud of this, but a friend (practiced mother of two children) introduced me to Chef Boyardee. I analyzed the nutrition. Turns out that the mini ravioli isn't as bad as it COULD be...so once in awhile for a treat when Mama and Daddy are having grown-up food for dinner such as spicy tacos, Abbie gets Chef Boyardee. As you can see, she doesn't much object to this arrangement, as a matter of fact, true Martinson that she is, she polished off the ENTIRE can of ravioli. Where does she put it? (Besides her face and hands)
SOMEBODY got a new swimsuit. We had to try it on in anticipation of our upcoming Florida trip with the Martinson clan next week and boy-oh-boy did we feel special. And Daddy thought we didn't need to wear the skirt...well, obviously he has never experienced the exhileration of twirling in a swimsuit with a special skirt attached...
So our friend Reid visited from New York - who says girls ride on the back of motorcyles?? Not in THIS family they don't! That's right, hold on tight Reid, this chick in ready to ride some hog!
Abbie and Mama visited Millenium Park this week with our buddies Alaina and Amanda and here is Abbie experiencing the famous "Cloud Gate" sculpture (i.e. "the giant shiny bean").
True to form, she then proceded to pound on the bean while babbling loudly "bloah, boh, la, ga bo cha" - obviously some intellectual commentary on the artist's rendering of the sculpture. Sigh, now if only she would've translated for us common folks' benefit :-)

Maybe she is just waiting for the Easter Bunny to come and fill that basket! Love the swim suit and grandma thinks the skirt is a nice touch.

Is there anything better than pudgy baby/toddler knees in a swimsuit? Can't wait to see you guys!
Abbie is changing ever so fast ... now she is a tall, lean toddler. Sigh. Can't wait to come down to pack and move you guys into your new place.
Papa Doug
